Anti-Microbial Treatment : The Anti-Microbial treatment is a durable "locked-in chemistry" that is incorporated into the backing composite of Carpet for Kids® rugs to minimize product deterioration and odors caused by microbial activity. This floor-covering enhancement means that any spills penetrating below the face of the carpet will come in contact with the antimicrobial treatment, minimizing the opportunity for product-deteriorating microbial activity in the backing or beneath the carpet. This chemistry has been tested for effectiveness and safety. In addition, this antimicrobial protection remains active for the life of the carpet under normal use conditions for commercial carpet as long as routinely accepted maintenance practices are followed.
Warranties on all printed rugs: Lifetime Abrasive Wear Warranty, Lifetime Anti-Microbial Protection, Lifetime Anti-Static Fiber. Carpets for Kids® (CFK) is the industry leader in high quality, educational children's rugs. They guarantee that your new carpet will not wear more than 10 percent by abrasion. If this occurs, CFK agrees to replace the carpet subject to its usage schedule. In the event that the identical carpet is not available, you may choose from a selection of carpets of comparable quality. Damage caused by improper installation, pets, tears, spills, cuts, pilling, shedding, matting, crushing, burns and improper maintenance or cleaning methods are not manufacturing defects and are excluded. CFK requires the original or other documentation (invoice with purchase date) as proof of warranty coverage. This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other legal rights which vary from state to state. In no event shall CFK be liable for incidental or consequential damages, whether in contract, warranty, negligence, strict liability or otherwise. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. **NOTE: Our serge (end yarn) does not carry a specific warranty. Any sharp object can cut/fray a strand of serge. It is suggested that repairs be made using a hot glue gun.
Cleaning Suggestions: There are a couple of whole rug & spot cleaning methods that can be used on the Printed Collection & KIDply® Soft Solid carpets. Over the counter "dry cleaners" will do the job. They are good because they can be vacuumed out of the rug and not leave any residue. The main thing to avoid is any cleaner with bleach or strong chemicals that would cause the dye to run. It is always good to try an area for colorfastness before using something across a large area of the rug.
• DO use approved powdered dry cleaning products
• DO spot test with cleaner, for color fastness before using over larger areas.
• When cleaning, always blot, NEVER scrub or rub abrasively. This may create a fuzzy area.
• When vacuuming, DO NOT vacuum over serge (which is not covered under warranty). This can cause serge yarn to become frayed, and torn.
• DO NOT use Bonnet System cleaning method.
• DO NOT saturate carpet with wet solution.
